Race Information
US Road Running organizes this event at Hawk Island Park in Lansing, Michigan. The race features three different distances on a paved course. All participants must complete their registration online prior to the event, as there is no option for on-site registration. Packet pickup is conducted at the park shortly before the race begins.
Distances
- 5K: A single out-and-back loop totaling 3.11 miles.
- 10K: Two repetitions of the out-and-back course.
- Half Marathon: Four repetitions of a specific out-and-back course totaling 13.1 miles.
Course Details
The race utilizes an out-and-back format for all distances. The 5K and 10K follow a 1.56-mile out-and-back route, while the Half Marathon follows a 1.64-mile segment. A strictly enforced time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is in place for all participants.
Awards and Recognition
All runners who finish their registered distance receive a finisher medal. While this is a competitive event where participants can earn series points, it also includes a costume component. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, and a group photo is taken at the start of the event. Awards are determined based on the criteria established by the series organizers.
