Tim Walker Founders' Day 5K
The Tim Walker Founders' Day 5K is the seventh annual 5-kilometer run/walk held on July 4, 2026 at Elizabethtown Sports Park in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. The event is managed by Central Kentucky Race Management in partnership with the Hardin County History Museum and serves as a fundraiser for the museum. The race is held in honor of a Founders' Day organizer and former mayor.
Registration details are published for the event: general registration is $25, and children 9 and under register for $10. Registered participants receive a race T-shirt; to guarantee a shirt, registration should be completed by the shirt deadline of June 19, 2026. Registration opens February 19, 2026 and closes on the day of the event.
Packet pickup is available at the soccer pavilion located near the back of the park. The course stays inside the sports park and follows the asphalt walking trail that circles the park. Each loop measures 1.55 miles. A water stop is provided after the first loop, and park restroom facilities are available for participants.
