Tillman Clocktower 5K and 2 Mile Health Walk
The event is the 41st annual running of the Tillman Clocktower race in Rome, Georgia. It includes two distances and takes place in and around downtown Rome, with courses that pass through the Between the Rivers district, ascend Clocktower Hill, and finish in Heritage Park with views of the Coosa River.
- 5K chip-timed road race, USATF certified course GA24030WC.
- 2 Miles Health Walk, non-competitive and not timed.
The 5K is chip-timed by Wire2Wire Running; walkers receive bibs without timing chips. Awards are given for the 5K only, including overall male and female, masters and grandmasters, age group placings through 75 and older, and special awards for the youngest and oldest finishers. Short sleeve Gildan Soft-Style tee-shirts and goody bags are guaranteed for participants who preregister by August 5. Registration opens June 7 and there are tiered fees, with lower pricing if registered by July 17 and higher fees for later registration. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at the First United Methodist Church of Rome Wilder Center. Parking is available at Heritage Park and the adjacent Riverview Park.
