About the race
Tigers Trail is a spring evening trail race organised by Totley AC that takes place in the Houndkirk Road / Fox House pub area of Sheffield on Wednesday 21 April 2027. The route is approximately 6.2 miles (10 km) with about 259 m (850 ft) of ascent and is marshaled at the major turning points. A course map is provided by the organisers.
Entry is available online or on the night, with a stated entry fee of £8 for pre-entry and £8 on the night if places remain. Numbers are collected on arrival at the pub before the race. Limited parking is available in the pub car park; runners are asked to consider car sharing and public transport and to use Longshaw car park where possible.
Facilities at the start/finish area include toilets, food, a bar and parking. All runners must carry the kit required by the Race Organiser; organisers follow FRA Best Practice and may require waterproof whole body cover with taped seams and hood, hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle, water and emergency food. Mandatory kit inspections may be performed and failure to carry required kit can lead to disqualification.
Race rules require race numbers to be clearly visible on the chest, and competitors must run past marshals without taking shortcuts. Entrants may not take dogs on the course. Retirement must be reported to Race Control rather than only to a marshal.
Prizes are awarded in overall and age-category positions and there are spot prizes; a prize giving takes place inside the marquee at the pub. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
