Event overview
Tigers Trail is a Totley AC organised trail race held on Wednesday 22nd April 2026, starting from the start of Houndkirk Road above the Fox House pub on Hathersage Road, Sheffield. The route is waymarked and marshaled at major turning points. Facilities at the pub include toilets, food, a bar and limited parking; car sharing and use of Longshaw car park are encouraged.
Race details
Distance: Approx. 6.2 miles / 10 km. Ascent: Approx. 850 ft / 259 m. Entry is available online or on the night; the entry fee is £7 for pre-entry and £7 for entry on the night (if the event is not full). Race numbers must be worn visibly on the chest and may be recorded at checkpoints; failure to show a number at checkpoints can lead to disqualification. Dogs are not permitted on the course.
Safety, kit and retirement
All competitors must carry the kit required by the race organiser. The event refers to FRA Best Practice kit: waterproof whole-body cover (taped seams and attached hood), hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle and emergency food. Mandatory kit inspections may be carried out before the start and after finishing; competitors without required kit may be excluded and reported. Runners wishing to retire must inform Race Control either via a checkpoint and then return to the finish to report, or by contacting Race Control directly.
Prizes and results
Prizes include top three male and female, first Totley runner and awards in age groups (18-23, Senior, V40, V50, V60, V70), plus spot prizes.
