About the race
The Tiger Trot for Hunger 5K Run & Walk is an annual event presented by Princeton University Campus Recreation to benefit Arm In Arm, a local non-profit that assists Mercer County residents with food, housing, and job support. Organizers report the event has reached capacity and registration is now closed. Entry is free; monetary donations and non-perishable food items for Arm In Arm are welcomed.
Participants could choose between two participation options: run or walk the course on Princeton University’s campus or complete a 5K anywhere using the RaceJoy app. During registration, registrants could create a team or join an existing team and designate a team captain.
In-person participants who register and pick up their bib at the Class of 1986 Fitness and Wellness Center on Wednesday (11/19) or Thursday (11/20) between 11a and 7p were entered into a random selection for a t-shirt giveaway; selected participants receive notification on the day of the event and collect shirts at the shirt table. All in-person results will be professionally timed by Bryn Mawr Racing Co. Participants who submit race times receive certificates of completion. The event also awards Intramural Champion t-shirts to the department or affiliation group with the most participants entering results or completing the event.
A random-selection prize opportunity for F/S and student participants offers a choice of 50% off one week of summer day camp, a 5-hour personal training package, or a three-month recreation facility membership. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
