Tiger Prowl 5K - Lakewood
The Tiger Prowl 5K is an annual community running event held at Lakewood High School, 9700 W 8th Ave, Denver, CO 80215. The event supports Lakewood High School programs; all registration fees and donations are managed by the Lakewood High School Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non profit, and return to school activities. Donations may be directed to the general activities fund or to a specific club or program.
The event offers a standard 3.1 mile route that travels on well shaded neighborhood roads in Lakewood. Race timing is provided with professional chip timing and timing tags on the back of bibs. Live results will be posted and online registrants can opt to receive live text or email notifications of their race results.
There are participant categories that include an adult fun run/walk, a youth 5K for children 12 and under, and a chill option for supporters who do not take a race bib. Registration opens on February 9. Participants who register by August 31 are guaranteed a Tiger Prowl 2026 t shirt; registration deadlines and fee tiers vary. Bib pickup and parking are organized at Lakewood High School; parking is available in the east and west lots. The Foundation states that donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
