Event Overview
The Tiger Prowl 5K is an annual community event organized by the Lakewood High School Foundation to support student programs at Lakewood High School. All proceeds from the event go directly to programs including theater, musical performance groups, athletics, and other school clubs. Donations to the general fund or specific efforts are encouraged.
Distances and Categories
The event offers three participation options:
- Tiger Prowl 5K Fun Run/Walk
- Tiger Prowl Youth 5K for participants aged 12 and under
- Tiger Prowl 5K Chill Option
Course and Timing
The course travels on shaded neighborhood roads in Lakewood. The race is professionally chip-timed by Colorado Race Timing, using tags on the back of the race bibs. Live results are posted, and online registrants can sign up for text or email updates of their results.
Registration and T-Shirts
Registration prices vary and increase after August 24, 2026. Participants who register by September 5 are guaranteed a high-quality athletic t-shirt. Registration after that date does not include a shirt. Online registration remains open on race day.
Logistics
The event is based at Lakewood High School, with bib pickup scheduled at the school's West Atrium on September 18 and 19 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and on race day morning from 7:30 AM to 8:45 AM.
