Tiger Peak Challenge
The Tiger Peak Challenge is a trail running event near Issaquah, WA, using trails on and around Tiger Mountain State Forest. The event offers multiple distances:
- 50K trail race
- Half Marathon
- 5 Mile
- Kids Race
Runners start from Clark Elementary School and follow neighborhood streets onto singletrack including the Rainier Trail and High School trail. Longer distances include steep sections such as the Section Line trail, which climbs over 1,300 ft in less than one mile to the summit of West Tiger 1, and routes that reach West Tiger summits including West Tiger #3. The 5 Mile course follows more gently graded trails through the Tradition Plateau, with the route passing through forests and wetlands.
Aid stations are placed along the route with volunteers, food, and hydration; additional food and treats are available at the finish area. The trails remain open to other users during the event. The event is organized by Evergreen Trail Runs, a regional race organizer and sister brand to Orca Running.
The organizer does not issue refunds; options for registrants who cannot attend include deferring an entry to the following year, transferring an entry to another runner, or switching to another Evergreen event. Specific deadlines and fees apply for these options. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
