Tiger Peak Challenge, Issaquah, WA
The Tiger Peak Challenge offers trail races near Issaquah, Washington, held in Tiger Mountain State Forest and the West Tiger Mountain Natural Resources Conservation Area. Distances include:
- 50K
- Half-Marathon
- 5 Mile
- Kids Race
Runners start and finish at Clark Elementary School and follow local trails that move from neighborhood streets onto Rainier Trail and the High School trail. The longer distances include climbs to two of Tiger Mountain’s peaks, including a Section Line trail segment that climbs over 1,300 feet in less than one mile to the summit of West Tiger 1. The 50K course consists of two loops.
The 5 Mile course is routed through the Tradition Plateau and records about 600 feet of elevation gain; the half marathon lists roughly 4,000 feet and the 50K about 9,000 feet of elevation gain. Aid stations are placed along each course with volunteers, food, and hydration. Trails remain open to other users during the event.
Packet pick-up is available the day before at Snoqualmie Running and on race morning at the event tent. Online registration closes the Friday before the race at noon. The organizer does not issue refunds; entries may be deferred, transferred, or switched to another event with fees and deadlines. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
