Tiffin Zombie Run
The Tiffin Zombie Run takes place at the Steyer Nature Preserve in Tiffin, Ohio. This themed event combines physical activity with an interactive game involving participants and volunteers dressed as zombies. Runners and walkers navigate the course while attempting to prevent zombies from taking the caution tape strips or sashes they are wearing. The goal for participants is to reach the finish line with all three sashes intact.
The event offers several participation options:
- 5K running race
- 1 Mile walk
- 3 Miles zombie participant role
Individuals who register to be zombie participants hide along the course and attempt to catch the sashes of those running or walking. The event is open to participants of all ages, with children aged four and under allowed to participate for free.
Activities available on-site include Halloween-themed face painting and raffle baskets. Refreshments are provided by a coffee company. The event includes an award ceremony following the races, with prizes for the top three finishers in the 5K and the top three best costumes. All proceeds from the event support CASA of Seneca, Sandusky, and Wyandot Counties, an organization that trains volunteers to advocate for children in the court system.
