HTCA 5K Run & Walk
The HTCA 5K Run & Walk is a community event held in Clyde, Ohio. Organized by the Harvest Temple Christian Academy, the race serves as a fundraiser to support educational, civic, and social programs, with a focus on improving classroom technology. Both the start and finish lines are located at the Harvest Baptist Temple.
The event is open to participants of all ages. To accommodate families, strollers are permitted on the course and small children are allowed to use bicycles. Dogs are also permitted to join the event, provided they are kept on a leash of at least six feet at all times; owners are responsible for animal control and cleanup.
Participants who register by the April 22 deadline are eligible to receive an event t-shirt. Additionally, every participant who completes the distance will receive a finisher's medal, provided they met the same early registration deadline.
The event features a competitive element with trophies awarded for first, second, and third place across several age categories:
- 12 and younger
- 13-18
- 19-35
- 36-50
- 51+
