The Tide Race
The Tide Race is a running event that links the islands of Tresco and Bryher via a temporarily exposed sandbar. The main course runs from Tresco across the sandbar to Bryher, includes a full circumnavigation of Bryher, and then returns across the sandbar to Tresco before the tide returns.

- 10 km
- 2 km family and kids race
The water crossing will get runners wet. Water depth is expected to be no deeper than thigh for most runners but could be below waist in certain conditions. For safety all participants must wear footwear for the crossing.
All participants receive an official technical Scilly60 Events vest that must be worn during the race and which they keep. Runners who register after 20 July will be issued a Scilly Swimrun Race vest to borrow instead. Children in the 2 km race are given a Scilly60 Swimrun vest to borrow.
There is a time limit of 1 hour 45 minutes for the course. Any runner who finishes the Bryher loop with less than 15 minutes remaining will not be permitted to start the return crossing; this cut-off is for safety and is non negotiable.
Participants must make their own way to Tresco. Daily return boats operate between the islands and travel is not included in the event fee. Day trip entry requires flying both ways by plane or helicopter and availability may be limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
