Event Overview
The Tiblow Trot is an annual running and walking event organized by the Rotary Club of Bonner Springs. Established in 1979, the event is held in conjunction with Tiblow Days, which is the largest community festival in Bonner Springs. The races take place in the heart of the downtown area, with the start located at the intersection of 3rd Street and Oak Street.
Distances and Participation
The event offers three distinct distances to accommodate different levels of activity:
- 5 Mile run
- 5K run/walk
- 2K (1.24 mile) fun walk
Participants can expect a family oriented environment. The 2027 edition marks the 49th year of this community tradition.
Community Impact
Proceeds from the event are used to support several charitable initiatives. Funds go toward scholarships for students at Bonner Springs High School and contribute to the Rotary’s Polio Plus Program, which aims to eradicate polio worldwide. Additionally, the event supports various other Rotary causes.
