Thunderbolt 5k and 1 Mile Walk

Registration opens 17 February 2026 and closes 14 June 2026. Published registration fees are $35.00 for the 5K and $20.00 for the 1 Mile event. Awards include finisher medals and prizes for the top three finishers in each category. Additional event items listed include a pint glass and coaster, post-race photos, and one complimentary beer for runners aged 21 and over.
A post-race reception will take place next door at Glasstown Brewing Company; an open mic session and a food truck are part of the reception programming. The event coincides with Flag Day and participants may wear patriotic clothing or military uniform. Proceeds will benefit the Millville Army Airfield Museum, and $1 from each beer sold during the event will be donated to the museum.
Race hosts are Glasstown Brewing Company and Even Kiel Racing. The museum preserves the history of Millville Army Air Field, including its World War II-era training of fighter pilots in P-47 Thunderbolt and P-40 Warhawk aircraft. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
