The Thrive IRC Freedom 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Vero Beach, Florida. The event is based at South Beach Park, 1702 Ocean Drive, Vero Beach, FL 32963. Two event options are listed:
- 5K Individual Run/Walk
- 5K Team
The event benefits Thrive IRC, formerly The Substance Awareness Center. Proceeds support resources, prevention strategies, and recovery services that address substance misuse and behavioral health.
Fees, amenities and awards
Registration opens April 1, 2026. Race fees shown include an Adult fee of $35 (until 9/25) and a Team fee of $30 per runner for teams of five or more. The event lists guaranteed T-shirts for the first 250 registrants, post-race food and beverages, and awards.
Awards include overall top male and female, top three male and female in age groups (13 and under; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+), top fastest team (minimum four), fastest walk time places 1-3, overall top fundraiser, and top fundraising team.
A race raffle is planned with items listed such as a Garmin Forerunner watch, running shoes and accessories, a gift basket, a one-night hotel stay, a $100 gift card, and fitness passes.
