Three Sisters Skyline
Three Sisters Skyline presents two trail races near Sisters, Oregon, with courses that pass near the Three Sisters and other Cascade peaks. The event is based at Village Green Park and benefits the Sisters Trail Alliance, a local non-profit that plans, builds, and maintains multi-user non-motorized trails.
The longer course, the 50K, travels to the edge of the Three Sisters Wilderness and runs through Ponderosa pine forests, areas of forest regrowth after a 2012 fire, alpine meadows, and alongside a mountain stream. The half marathon is a point to point course with a net downhill profile.
Organizers provide a shuttle to the start because parking at the start area is limited; runners are not permitted to be dropped off and shuttle turnaround causes congestion. Runners may bring warm-up clothing to the start and organizers will transport those items back to the finish; items left on the shuttle will not be returned.
Registration fees vary by date with the 50K listed in three price tiers and the half marathon listed in three price tiers. Registering by August 16 guarantees a shirt size. Each finisher receives a medal and the top three female, male, and non-binary finishers in each race receive prizes from sponsors. Pre-race refreshments and a post-race burrito bar are provided for participants and volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
