RMRR December Trophy Series

The Rocky Mountain Road Runners host the December installment of their monthly Trophy Series at Washington Park in Denver, Colorado. This event features a single running distance:

  • 4.5 miles

The course is set within the park and begins on the diagonal road. Participants complete two counter-clockwise laps on the paved road inside Washington Park before returning to the diagonal road for the finish. Parking is available for participants on the east side of the park, specifically near the intersection of Mississippi and Franklin.

This event utilizes a handicap system characterized by staggered starts. Runners begin the race at different intervals based on their pace, with starts spread over approximately 25 minutes from the slowest to the fastest participants. This format is designed to give all participants the opportunity to compete for a win regardless of their speed. While members accumulate points in the annual series, the race is open to others for a registration fee. Participants are expected to arrive on-site early to collect their bibs and complete any necessary registration steps. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
