Three Corner Rock PCT Trail Races
The event is a point to point trail race of 50K in Carson, WA, held along the Pacific Crest Trail. The course runs from the South Washington Cascades toward the Columbia River Gorge, starting near Stabler, Washington and finishing at Bonneville Hot Springs and Resort near North Bonneville.
The route includes approximately 5600 ft of cumulative climbing and contains a section of scree that runners must traverse. The course is primarily singletrack and includes a short detour to Three Corner Rock, which provides 360 degree views of surrounding Cascade Range volcanoes. Several long descents pass through areas noted for huckleberries.
There are four aid stations distributed along the route and they are stocked with traditional aid station items. The race continues a local tradition under new start arrangements while maintaining much of the classic course routing.
The event also functions as a fundraiser. A portion of race proceeds will be donated to the Stevenson High School Cross Country Team. The Pacific Crest Trail Association is noted in the event information as an organization that advocates for access to and conservation of the Pacific Crest Trail and related lands.
