Thoroughbred Trot 5K & Fun Run - Midway, KY
The Thoroughbred Trot 5K & Fun Run is scheduled for April 19, 2026, in Midway, Kentucky. The event is organized by the Northside Elementary School PTO and is based at Walter Bradley Park, adjacent to Northside Elementary School.
The event includes multiple race options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Walk (untimed)
The program also offers a Fastest Kid series restricted to Northside Elementary students (kindergarten to 5th grade), a virtual runner/walker option, and volunteer registration.
Race features include a scenic country course on paved roads, commemorative race shirts, chip timing provided by RaceRise, free race photos, and post race food, drink, fellowship and music. 5K awards list the top three male and female overall finishers and first place male and female in 14 age groups. All 5K participants receive a finishers medal.
The 5K route starts and finishes at Walter Bradley Park near the small dog park. The course runs on Dudley Street, Brand Street and East Stephens in a long out-and-back layout, with an elevation change of about 135 feet. There are two water stops along the course and no restrooms or portables on the route. The Versailles Police Department will provide traffic safety support, though participants may encounter occasional vehicles.
Packet pickup is held on race day at the pavilion at Walter Bradley Park; there is no advanced day packet pickup this year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
