Thornbury 10k 2026
The Thornbury 10k is a road race run by Thornbury Running Club on Thursday 18 June 2026. The course follows rolling country lanes around Oldbury with open views and finishes near the Anchor pub. The start is a short walk from Oldbury Sailing Club, which serves as Race HQ.
The event distance is 10 km. Timing is gun to chip. There is one water station on the course. An expected run time of 1.5 hours is used for sweep arrangements; a sweep runner will be present but marshals will leave the course and signage will remain in place.
Entries are available only through Full on Sport and there are no on-the-day entries. Minimum entry age is 18. Guide runners supporting visually impaired participants receive a free entry when registered with the provided guide code; the code is supplied to VI Runners Bristol or via the event organisers. Transfers between entrants must be completed before 23:59 on Sunday 14 June.
The race is part of a three-event TRC Race Series in 2026. Participants receive a metal medal for this event, and completing all three series races yields medals that link together. Prizes are awarded in 16 major categories and there is an overall cumulative prize for the fastest man and woman across the series. ARC permit number to be confirmed.
Race HQ is Oldbury Sailing Club, Oldbury-on-Severn, South Gloucester, BS35 1QA. Parking at the Sailing Club is first come, first served and there are no public car parks in Oldbury. There are no changing or shower facilities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
