Thornbury 10k 2026
Thornbury Running Club stages the Thornbury 10k on 18 June 2026 as the second race in the TRC Race Series. The course runs on rolling country lanes around Oldbury with open views. The event starts a short walk from Oldbury Sailing Club and finishes at the Anchor pub.
The event awards a metal medal to participants. Runners who complete all three series events - Riverbank Rollick, Thornbury 10km and the Oldbury 10 mile - receive medals that link together. There is a prize for the woman and the man with the cumulative fastest absolute time across the three races.
Entries are available only through Full on Sport and there are no on the day entries. Minimum age to enter is 18 years. Guide runners for visually impaired participants can enter free when supporting a VI runner; a discount code is arranged via VI Runners Bristol for matching entries. Timing is by gun to chip and individual prizes are offered across 16 major categories. An ARC permit number is to be confirmed. Transfers must be completed before 14 June 2026.
Race headquarters are at Oldbury Sailing Club, Oldbury-on-Severn BS35 1QA. Parking at the Sailing Club is on a first come, first served basis and there are no public car parks in Oldbury. There are no changing or shower facilities. The course includes one water station, an expected run time of 1.5 hours, and a sweep runner; marshals will leave the course and signage will remain in place.
