Event overview
Thornbury 10k on 18 June 2026 is the second race in the Thornbury Running Club 2026 Race Series. The course runs on rolling country lanes around Oldbury with views of the surrounding area. The route starts a short walk from Oldbury Sailing Club and finishes at the Anchor pub. For 2026 finishers receive a metal medal; if a runner completes all three TRC Race Series events the medals link to form a larger linked medal. A prize will be awarded to the man and the woman with the fastest cumulative absolute time across the three series events (Riverbank Rollick, Thornbury 10km and the Oldbury 10 mile).

Race details
Entries are accepted only through Full on Sport; there are no on-the-day entries. The minimum age is 18. Timing is gun to chip. Individual prizes are offered across 16 major categories. The event holds an ARC permit number to be confirmed. Entry transfers are allowed but the entrant is responsible for making the transfer; transfers must be completed before 23:59 on Sunday 14th June.
Race headquarters are at Oldbury Sailing Club, Oldbury-on-Severn, BS35 1QA. Parking is available at the Sailing Club on a first-come, first-served basis and there are no public car parks in Oldbury. There are no changing or shower facilities. The start is approximately a 10-minute walk or 5-minute jog from the HQ. There is one water station on course. An expected run time of 1.5 hours is quoted; a sweep/tail runner will be present but marshals will leave the course while signage remains. A launch discount of £4 is valid until 30 September.
