Thornbury 10 km : 18 June 2026

The Thornbury 10 km is organized by Thornbury Running Club and forms Race #2 of the club’s 2026 race series. The course runs on rolling country lanes around Oldbury with open countryside views. The start is a short walk from Oldbury Sailing Club and the finish is at the Anchor pub.

For 2026 finishers receive a metal medal. Medals from the three-club race series events (Riverbank Rollick, Thornbury 10 km and the Oldbury 10 mile) link together to create a larger joined medal. There is a prize for the woman and man with the fastest cumulative time across all three series events.

Entries are available only through Full on Sport; there are no on-the-day entries. Minimum age is 18 years. Guide runners for visually impaired participants receive a free entry when using the provided guide code and entries are matched by name. Timing is gun to chip. Individual prizes are awarded across 16 major categories and the event holds an ARC permit subject to confirmation.

Event headquarters is Oldbury Sailing Club. Parking at the club is on a first-come, first-served basis and there are no public car parks in Oldbury. There are no changing room or shower facilities. Registration is open the evening of the event. The start is a short 10-minute walk or 5-minute jog from HQ. One water station is provided on course and an expected run time limit is 1.5 hours with a sweep runner appointed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
