TBK Bank Thirsty 13 Half Marathon : Durango, CO (August 29, 2026)
The TBK Bank Thirsty 13 is a point to point half marathon that finishes at Ska Brewing in Durango, Colorado. The course starts at Hesperus Church, runs through Wildcat Canyon and past Lake Nighthorse, and descends a net 1,400 feet from start to finish. The route is mostly downhill and includes an alternate out and back course along La Posta Road and the Animas River if the main course is unavailable.
Race support includes five aid stations spaced at about 2.5 mile intervals beginning near mile 3; each station provides water, PowerAde, first aid, and volunteers. The aid station near mile 8 also offers bananas and other snacks. Toilets are available at the finish area, at the start, and on course near mile 5.4. Law enforcement will control vehicle traffic at the start and at the road crossing near mile 5.4; runners are asked to stay on the right shoulder where roads remain open to traffic.
Buses transport runners from the finish area to the start line and a parking coordinator at Ska Brewing will direct drivers to nearby lots. Packet pickup is available the day before at TBK Bank and on race morning at Ska Brewing. Drop bags are transported from start to finish but are unattended. A finisher's mug and a complimentary Ska beer or nonalcoholic beverage are provided at the finish. An awards ceremony recognizes top finishers in 14 age groups. The event offers an optional San Juan Brewfest ticket for a 21 plus post race celebration with samples from over 35 breweries; Brewfest tickets are non transferable and require ID.
