Thibodaux Firemen's Fair Fun Run and 5k : event overview
The event on May 2, 2026 takes place at the fairgrounds located at 1101 Tiger Drive, Thibodaux, LA 70301. The program includes two running events: a one-mile fun run and a 5k race. The 1-mile fun run begins at the corner of Tiger Drive and Parish Road. The 5k starts at the fairgrounds entrance on Parish Road and follows a route that passes through Thibodaux’s historic Downtown District before returning to the fairgrounds finish area.
Registrations are open from September 12, 2025 through April 18, 2026. Fees listed in registration materials apply; youth ages 5 to 17 have sponsored complimentary registration courtesy of Thibodaux Regional Health System. Only early registrants prior to April 17 are guaranteed a T-shirt and a $10 food and drink voucher; the voucher is also noted for adult pre-registrations.
All finishers receive commemorative Firemen’s Race medals and refreshments at the finish line. Awards are presented to race winners by age group and gender in the 5k. Packet pickup and on-site registration are available at the fairgrounds merchandise booth on the day before the event and on race morning.
