Event Overview
The La Sportiva Sunset Stroll is a 10 km event held in Kirkby Stephen, designed as a relaxed way to transition into the weekend. The route begins at the event Basecamp with a group warmup before leading participants through the landscape of the Eden Valley.
The course follows a path that climbs toward Tailbrigg and reaches its highest elevation on Birket Fell. This point provides views across the valley and hosts the Berry, Grape and Grain Fell Top tasting experience, where participants can sample various food and drink products.
Course and Participation
The event is fully marshalled and features a flagged route to assist with navigation. Participants have the option to progress at their own pace, whether walking or jogging. For those who prefer a guided experience, groups can join friendly hosts. These experienced running and walking hosts provide information regarding the local history and the surrounding landscape, alongside stories of mountain adventures.
