JT Atkinson 20K Yomp
The event is a 20 km fell race held in and around Kirkby Stephen as part of the YOMP Mountain Challenge. The route includes about 730 m of ascent and passes High Pike and the Nine Standards, offering views across the Eden Valley. The race uses a mass start, and walkers may take part as well.
The course starts and finishes at The Engine Shed Basecamp. The route is fully waymarked and has checkpoints to support participant safety. Entrants may run, walk, or combine both approaches over the course.
The JT Atkinson 20k is entering its fifth year within the YOMP series. After the race, participants and supporters are invited to an after party at the event venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
