About the race
The Wurst 5K & Brat Trot is an untimed, Oktoberfest-themed fun run and walk on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in downtown Kent, Ohio. Registration and the race start are located in Heritage Park, beneath the nearby Oktoberfest festivities. The event is organized by Main Street Kent and welcomes participants of all ages; costumes are encouraged.

Registration for each event includes a custom race bib and a pretzel necklace. The Wurst 5K registration also includes a brat and a 16 oz beer, with participants under 21 receiving root beer instead; the first 100 registrants for the 5K receive a Wurst 5K fanny pack. The Brat Trot registration includes a brat and NORKA root beer.
Registration opens on July 30, 2026 at 21:00 and closes on October 10, 2026 at 08:00. The stated registration fees are $25.00 for the 5K and $15.00 for the Brat Trot.
