Event overview
The Windmill 6 takes place on 15 March 2026 with Race HQ at Birdsedge Village Hall, HD8 8XT. The event is part of the Huddersfield Road Series and uses a certified accurate six-mile course. The route is an anti-clockwise road loop around the windmills on Spicer Hill and passes views across Huddersfield, Wakefield, Penistone and surrounding areas.
Course and facilities
The course is described as undulating and follows public roads around the windmills on top of Spicer Hill. Food is available for runners and volunteers. A GPX file of the route is provided by the organiser.
Entry and awards
Entry is limited to a total of 300 places. Discounted entry and standard entry prices are stated: discounted price £14.00 until 12 March 2026 20:59 (discount applies to members of any of EA SA EA WA) and standard price £16.00 thereafter. The organiser absorbs the service fee of 4% (minimum 50p), so entrants do not pay a surcharge. Awards are given for Men’s and Women’s 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and for first in veteran age groups V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65 and V70.
