Race formats and rules
Distances offered:
- 100 mile
- 50 mile
- 27 mile (Barely Ultra)
- relay options
Field limits are stated for each distance. The 100 mile division requires an average pace of at least 18 minutes per mile and is subject to a daylight permit for National Park sections. The 50 mile and 27 mile divisions have time limits and cut-offs; these will be enforced. Prize money is allocated by division, with over $10,000 total: $6,000 listed for the 100 mile and $4,000 for the 50 mile, with specific payouts for top finishers.
Course, aid and logistics
All courses are point-to-point using sections of the same route; the 50 mile and 27 mile follow the final segments of the 100 mile course. Aid stations are planned every 5-10 miles and will offer first aid supplies, water, electrolytes, and food. The event is cupless; runners should bring refillable bottles for aid station refills. Shuttles will operate between Ross’s Landing and course access points. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
