The Wee Tri : event details
The event takes place on 12 April 2026 at Lochaber Leisure Centre. It is organised by Nevis Triathlon Club. Entry is open from 11 November 2025 and closes on 8 April 2026. Minimum age is 15 on the event date. Entries recorded so far: 13. Entry fees listed are £48.00 for solo and £75.00 for a team. The event accepts solo competitors or teams of 2-3 people.
Course and race logistics
The triathlon uses a pool swim and on-road and off-road sections for bike and run. Distances are:
- 400m pool-based swim
- ~15km bike ride (road) along Glen Nevis
- ~6km run along Glen Nevis and forestry paths
The bike is an out-and-back along Glen Nevis with the turnaround at the Lower Falls car park. The run follows the Glen Nevis road, returns through forestry paths around Cow Hill, and finishes near the leisure centre. The transition area will be in the field adjacent to the leisure centre. A staggered swim start will be used based on estimated swim times; start groups are to be published shortly before the event. Refreshments are provided after the event and some prizes are on offer.
