The Wearin' of the Green 5K Shamrock Run
The Wearin' of the Green 5K Shamrock Run is scheduled for March 14, 2026 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The event starts and finishes at Moreau Physical Therapy, 3129 Perkins Road, and follows the last mile of the Wearin' of the Green St. Patrick's Day Parade route. This is the seventh running of the Shamrock Run.
The course for 2026 will use a reversed loop. Runners will proceed up Perkins Road, turn left onto E Lakeshore Drive, loop toward Dalrymple, turn right on Magnolia Drive, and return to Perkins Road to finish at Moreau Physical Therapy.
Packet pickup is available in advance at Baton Rouge Green, 2241 Christian Street, and on race day behind Moreau Physical Therapy. Registration is limited to 700 spots and fee levels range from $35 to $75 depending on the registration date. Registrants receive a customized bib with a timing chip; the first 500 registrants receive event swag. The first 500 finishers will receive a 2026 finisher medal. Awards are planned for the top 10 male and top 10 female finishers.
The Shamrock Run partners with Baton Rouge Green; funds raised from the 2026 race will support that organization. A post-race party behind Moreau Physical Therapy will include food, beverages, and entertainment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
