The Wasatch Yard Backyard Ultra
The Wasatch Yard is a backyard ultra held in Round Valley, Park City, Utah. Runners repeatedly cover a 4.167 miles loop each hour on the same start line until a single runner completes a loop that no one else finishes. Twenty-four laps equal 100 miles.
The course mixes gravel, greenway, and single-track, with the crew area located at the start line on Gillmor Way. The format gives each runner the remaining minutes in the hour for rest between laps; missing the hour cutoff eliminates a runner from the event. The race includes running after dark and the use of headlamps.
Prizes are awarded at milestone laps and the final awards go to the last runners remaining. Mount to Coast provides milestone awards. The event is presented by Rendezvous Run and Salty Star Run Club, with additional partner support for on-course and runner services.
