Event overview
The Viking Dash 5k is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Ripley, West Virginia (2 School Street, Ripley, WV 25271). The event is the 3rd annual Viking Dash and is organized as a 5K run/walk. Registration closes March 12, 2026. The entry fee is $30 for pre-registration and $30 for race day registration.
Race details
The course starts in the back parking lot of Ripley High School, runs behind Ripley City Park, loops through local avenues and finishes on the school track. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Ripley High School Track & Field teams. A race-day t-shirt is guaranteed for participants who register by March 4, 2026.
Awards are given to 1st Place Overall Male and Female and to the top two males and top two females in each age category. There will be no duplicate awards. Age groups listed for awards are: 12 and under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 51-59; and 60+. Awards are presented immediately after the race.
