The View 25K and 15K
The View is a trail race held on November 7, 2026 at the Western Clinton Sportsmans Club in Hyner, PA. The event uses the main trails known from the Hyner Challenge: The View, Post Draft, SOB, and Huff Run. The 25K course is modified to bypass Johnson Run and is described as slightly easier and a little shorter than the usual Hyner 25K.
Both distances follow the same start route for the first 5.5 miles. After that point the 15K branches onto Spring Trail and descends via Huff Run.
Registration opens December 18 and is limited to the first 500 entrants. Organizers state that only serious runners and hikers should enter, and they expect participants to finish within 6.5 hours due to shorter daylight at that time of year. There are no refunds, deferrals, bib switches, or bandits for this event.
Distances and elevation gains:
- 25K: modified course bypasses Johnson Run; about 3,000 ft elevation gain
- 15K: follows first 5.5 miles then Spring Trail and Huff Run; about 1,800 ft elevation gain
