The View Trail Race
The View is a trail race held on November 7, 2026 at the Western Clinton Sportsmans Club in Hyner, Pennsylvania. The event uses several established trails and offers two distance options that both reach the viewpoint and descend Huff Run.
The course uses The View, Post Draft, SOB, and Huff Run as primary trails. The 25K course has been modified to bypass Johnson Run and is described as slightly easier and a little shorter than the usual Hyner 25K. The 15K follows the same trail alignment as the 25K for the first 5.5 miles, then branches onto Spring Trail and returns via Huff Run.
Registration opens December 18 and is limited to the first 500 entrants. Organizers state this event is intended for serious runners and hikers and that participants should expect to finish within 6.5 hours. The event policy allows no refunds, no deferrals, no bib switches, and no bandits. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
