The Trestle Bridge Run
The event is a running event held at Safe Harbor Park, 1 Powerhouse Rd, Conestoga, PA 17516. The course uses the Enola Low Grade Rail Trail and finishes across the Safe Harbor Trestle Bridge. The bridge was built in 1905, stands 140 feet high, and stretches 1,560 feet over the Conestoga River.
Distances:
- Approximately 5.9 miles 10K-ish course along the rail trail
- 1/4 mile Trestle Bridge Kids Run for children 12 and under
Participants traveling to the start may be transported from Safe Harbor to the race start at the Turkey Hill / Enola Low Grade parking area; driving to the start is also permitted. Bib pickup is available at Safe Harbor Park near the trestle bridge. Race day registration is available for cash or check at a higher fee than pre-registration. Tech shirts are provided to participants and are not guaranteed for entries after September 30.
There will be an aid station at the finish and a water station around the midpoint of the course. The trail is open to the public during the event but trail users must yield to runners. To return from the bridge to the parking lot participants will use a newly created stone path that includes stairs and is not wheelchair accessible. Post-race snacks and beverages will be available.
