The Trail Running Series - Silvan
The Silvan Race is the third event in the 2026 Trail Running Series, taking place in the Dandenong Ranges. Located approximately 60 minutes from Melbourne, the course travels through a landscape characterized by fern gullies, mountain ash trees, and misty ridgelines. The event is held during the winter season, showcased by the natural colors of the forest floor and wilderness tracks.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 7.2 km Short Course
- 15 km Medium Course
- 22 km Long Course
A notable feature of this specific race is its unique handicap format. This system is designed to keep the field of runners closer together throughout the duration of the event. The race environment includes an event village with live music, barista coffee, and food trucks. The courses are fully marked and supported by volunteers to assist runners navigating the trail network.
