The TarDevil 30 Mile Bushwhack
The TarDevil 30 Mile Bushwhack is an annual point-to-point training run of 30M held in Chapel Hill, NC on March 6, 2027. The event is organized by The TarDevil and is presented as an informal "fun run" or fat-ass rather than a formally sanctioned race. The course runs between the Duke University and UNC Chapel Hill campuses.
The direction alternates by year: in odd years the route goes from Duke Chapel to the Old Well on the UNC campus, and in even years it goes from the Old Well to Duke Chapel. Meeting and finish locations are centered on those campus landmarks. Participation is at the runner's own risk; the event is not affiliated with any organization and participants assume all liability. The organizer warns that the route includes many difficult sections and that risks can be significant, including but not limited to permanent injury, drowning, or death.
