Camp Chestnut Ridge Trail Run 2026
The annual trail run at Camp Chestnut Ridge takes place on November 21, 2026 in Efland, North Carolina. The event offers multiple distances on natural terrain and includes awards and on-site amenities.
- 1 mile Fun Run/Walk
- 5K run or walk
- 8 mile trail run
The course runs entirely on trails and camp roads composed of dirt and gravel. Runners will encounter rolling hills through old hardwood forests and a route that goes around a 10 acre lake. Water stations will be provided along the course. Walkers are welcome in the 1 mile and 5K events. Event policies prohibit dogs, strollers, and headphones.
Proceeds benefit the Chestnut Ridge Campership Fund, which provides scholarships for children and youth in financial need. Top male and female finishers are recognized in both the 5K and 8 mile races. The 8 mile race includes age-group awards in these ranges: 1-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and beyond.
Online registration closes on November 20 and in-person day-of registration is available. Participants registering by November 9 are guaranteed a race shirt. If the race is canceled for reasons beyond the organizers control entrants will be converted to a virtual race option. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
