The Steve Hammond Homebound Hustle 5K & 1-Mile Walk
The event is a community fundraising run and walk taking place on November 8, 2026, organized by Family Promise of Morris County to support efforts to end homelessness and improve housing stability in Morris County. The event honors the legacy of Steve Hammond and celebrates his connection to the local community.
The in-person course is a scenic cross country route in Central Park of Morris County, Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey. The race program includes awards for the top three finishers in each age group and post-race refreshments. The registration fee is $30.00 and registration opens on August 21, 2026 and closes on October 19, 2026. The first 200 registrants will receive an event t-shirt. All 5K participants will receive a bib and safety pins.
