Strides for Education Hybrid 5K Run/Walk
The Strides for Education Hybrid 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for October 25, 2026, at Simons Park in Morris Plains, New Jersey. The event offers an in-person 5K on the streets of Morris Plains with start and finish at Simons Park, plus a virtual 5K option on the same date.
The course is described as flat and fast and proceeds benefit all students in the Morris Plains School District. Funds for this year will support programs at Mountain Way and Borough Schools. Organizers offer a team challenge with prizes for the most spirited and the largest teams, along with social media recognition.
All participants pick up a t-shirt and an environmentally friendly timing anklet at the NJ Trail Series table and must return the anklet after completing the course. Day-of registration is available on-site between 8:00 and 8:30. Registrations completed by October 3 are guaranteed the event giveaway.
