The Spooky 5K Social Run at Roudham
The event takes place in Roudham, Norfolk NR16 2RJ on Thursday 29 October 2026. It is a group run on a multi terrain 5K loop that uses a variety of footpaths, byways and highways and crosses a railway line twice.
Participants should expect mixed underfoot surfaces including roots, tarmac, stones and sand. Depending on weather there may be mud and puddles. The route will be very dark so runners are asked to bring at least one torch or running lights.
The run is organised as a led group. One leader will stay with the slowest runner and another will lead at the front to guide the group. A route map will be provided and a GPX file is available for use on watches or phones. If someone chooses to run ahead, they are responsible for finding their own way back.
The event is not suitable for under 16s, buggies, dogs or werewolves and vampires. Fancy dress is encouraged but participants should consider how costumes affect visibility and movement. At the finish there will be hot and cold drinks and cake. Parking details will be provided in a pre event briefing emailed to participants the week before the event.
