Event overview
The Sparrow is a looped trail running event held Saturday, Feb 7, 2026, in Griffin, GA at 287 Jordan Hill Rd. The event offers two time-based races: a 6 hour race and a 3 hour race. The event moved to this Griffin location for a trail course around a lake.
Course and on-course services
The course is an approximately 2 mile loop of smooth single-track trail. Most of the loop is described as easy and rolling. There will be a central aid station offering typical ultrarunning foods, with efforts to provide options for different dietary preferences. Participants may bring their own fuel and hydration and set up a tent at the aid area.
Race offerings, swag and policies
All registrants will receive a Sparrow t-shirt; the deadline to be guaranteed a shirt is January 20. Participants who cover more than 50K in the 6 hour race or more than 25K in the 3 hour race receive a raffle ticket for sponsor prizes. A co-race director with a background in ultrarunning counseling offers mental health and wellness support for interested runners. Registration closes on Wed, Feb 4 (local time).
