The Shady City Race
The Shady City Race is the third annual running event held on August 29, 2026 in Marysville, Ohio. The event takes place at Schwartzkopf Park on the Jim Simmons Memorial Trail. The course is paved, chip timed, and runs through a tree lined setting.
Distances offered at the event include:
- 3.1 Miles (Leafy Loop 5K)
- 10K (Tree Line Trek 10K)
- 0.25 Miles (Sapling Dash kids run, out and back)
Registration opens April 2, 2026 for the 5K and 10K and those races list a registration close date of May 2, 2026. The Sapling Dash has a later registration closing date on the day of the event. Published registration fees are $30.00 for the 5K, $35.00 for the 10K, and $15.00 for the Sapling Dash.
The presentation notes include packet pick up and post race awards for the 5K and 10K.
