Event Overview
The SAX 4 Miler is a running and walking event that supports the Child Life Department at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital. The event has raised over $1 million for the department since its inception in 2012. It is held at the SAX headquarters in Parsippany, New Jersey.
Events
The event features three main activities:
- A 4 Mile Run.
- A 2 Mile or 4 Mile Walk.
- Kids Races with distances from 25 to 200 yards for children ages 2-11.
Course & Amenities
The main 4-mile course is a USA Track and Field Certified (USATF) double-loop route. It is described as scenic and starts and finishes at the SAX campus. The event includes amenities like a technical t-shirt for pre-registrants, refreshments, kids' activities, DJ entertainment, and awards with random prizes. Awards are given for the 4 Mile Run to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as in age groups from 19 & under to 70 & over.
Registration & Logistics
Registration fees vary. For the run and walk, early bird registration is $25, standard is $30, and race day is $35. Kids race registration is $10. Bib and t-shirt pickup is available on the day before the event and on race day at the SAX headquarters. Parking is available at the venue.
