The Sandwich 10k
The Sandwich 10k returns in 2026 as a two lap, spectator friendly race around the town of Sandwich. The route is mostly flat and includes two loops through the historic town centre, passing near the Quayside and the river. The course starts and finishes at Sir Roger Manwood's School, Manwood Road, Sandwich, Kent CT13 9JX.
The route mixes road and short trail sections and has been described as suitable for a range of runners from beginners to more experienced competitors. Because the course is largely flat, good finishing times are possible in appropriate conditions.
On-site facilities listed for the event include toilets, a free car park and refreshments. Entry fees for advanced entries are shown as £23 for affiliated club members and £25 for unaffiliated runners; on-the-day entry, if space allows, is listed at £30. Under UK Athletics rules the minimum age for the 10k is 15 years on the day of the event.
The description and route notes emphasise a town-centre experience through a well preserved medieval town and a spectator friendly layout that repeats the town loop twice. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
