The Sand Hill Adventure Run
The Sand Hill Adventure Run takes place on November 21, 2026 at Sand Hill Scout Reservation, 11210 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville, FL 34613, United States. The event includes multiple short-distance runs held on the reservation grounds.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run Through Nature
- 2.5K Turkey Trot Fun Run with costumes encouraged
- 0.8K Color Fun Run
The 5K follows winding trails, shaded pathways, and open landscapes through natural areas on the reservation. Proceeds from the event support Scouting programs that develop leadership, character, and outdoor skills for youth in the community.
The 2.5K is described as a family oriented Turkey Trot where costumes and festive attire are encouraged. The 0.8K Color Fun Run passes through stations with colored powder so participants may leave the course covered in color; the course is short and presented as accessible to a wide range of ages.
Registration for the events opens April 30, 2026 and closes October 30, 2026. Entry fees listed for the event formats are $50.00 for the 5K, $45.00 for the 2.5K, and $55.00 for the 0.8K.
