About the race
The Running of the Pumpkins 5K takes place on October 25, 2026, at Cauley Creek Park in Johns Creek, GA. The event offers both an in-person and a virtual 5K option, with proceeds benefiting The Cottage School of Roswell. The on-site 5K uses a single-lap route that winds through woods and around the Cauley Creek Park property on a rubber-paved running path. The course is USATF certified and listed as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier.
Costumes are encouraged, and a post-race costume contest is part of the event program. Participation items and award eligibility differ by entry type. In-person participants receive a long-sleeve tri-blend event shirt and a finisher medal, and are eligible for age-group and overall awards. Virtual participants receive the same shirt and finisher medal but are not eligible for awards. Additional event details include early packet pick-up on October 23 and October 24 at local pickup locations: Gate City Brewing in Roswell and Big Peach Running Company East Cobb.
Registration opened on November 27, 2025; fees listed for the events include a registration fee of $35 for the in-person 5K and $40 for the virtual 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
