Event overview

The Rubicon takes place Saturday, Oct 24, 2026, at Oxbow Reservoir, CA, in the backcountry of the northwestern Sierra Nevada. The event is an unofficial "fatass" group run that includes on- and off-trail terrain. There are no course markings, no aid stations, no event staff, and no medical team. The route area includes Blacksmith Flat Spur (FS Rd 23-002). Registration closes Thu, Oct 22 at 11:59 PM PT.

The Resonant - 30+ miles, ≈12,700 ft gain, 6 hill climbs, 6 water crossings
The Revenant - 43+ miles, ≈19,300 ft gain, 8 hill climbs, 8 water crossings
