Resolve2Run - 5K/10K Run-Walk
Resolve2Run is an annual New Year’s Day 5K and 10K run-walk held rain or shine. The event begins at Chicago Park School and follows routes that wind through scenic areas of Nevada County.
Distances offered:
- 5K
- 10K
The event serves as a fundraiser for three local organizations. The Peardale‑Chicago Park Firefighters’ Association uses funds to support the Chicago Park Fire Protection District by purchasing equipment and supplies for vehicle rescue, structure and wildland firefighting, medical incidents, and training (examples include scene lighting, rescue ropes, radio upgrades, and CPR manikins).
Chicago Park 4‑H Club is a longstanding youth organization in operation since 1929. Funds help keep enrollment affordable, provide scholarships, and support participation in fairs and youth projects such as animal husbandry, sewing, arts, aeronautics, biking, survival skills, cooking, and community service.
Chicago Park School PTA supports student education, health, and welfare by funding programs and materials such as music and drama, art, after-school sports, assemblies, and science equipment. The event brings runners, families, and friends together while raising money for these local causes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
