Resolve2Run - 5K/10K Run Walk (Resolve2Run 2026)
Resolve2Run is an annual New Year’s Day 5K and 10K run and walk that begins at Chicago Park School and winds through scenic areas of Nevada County. The event takes place rain or shine and serves as a community fundraiser supporting three local organizations.

Proceeds support the Peardale–Chicago Park Firefighters’ Association, which raises funds to purchase equipment and supplies and provides community assistance such as an annual holiday gift for a needy family. Examples of equipment listed include battery-powered scene lighting, low-angle rescue ropes and hardware, safety cones, a weather station monitor, radio upgrades, and CPR training manikins.
The Chicago Park 4H Club, founded in 1929 and noted as the oldest continuously running 4H club in California, provides youth projects in areas such as animal husbandry (beef, sheep, swine, goats, rabbits, poultry), sewing, fine arts, aeronautics, biking, survival skills, cooking, community service projects, scholarships, and participation in the county fair livestock auction.
The Chicago Park School PTA focuses on improving education, health, and welfare for students and funds programs including music and drama, art, after school sports, assemblies, and science equipment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
