Course, logistics and rules

The 1 Mile course is paved and uses two laps around the back soccer field. The 5K, 10K and 50K use the soccer loop and the Spencer Mountain loop trails; the trail sections are mountain bike trails and include a 3-mile trail segment. Flagging on course will use yellow ribbon and yellow arrows. Trekking poles are allowed and the organizer advises bringing them.

Packet pickup is available the day before and there will be race-day bib pickup. Aid stations will offer basic food items (for example pickles, cereal, pretzels, candy, fruit, bacon), water, Tailwind, sodas, and basic first aid. The event enforces a 10-hour cutoff. Dogs and strollers are not allowed on the course except by special exception. Runners and walkers may participate if they can finish within the time limit. Medals are handmade pottery from BlueGill Pottery and are unique. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
