Course Details
The course uses trails. The main route is described as a 3-mile trail loop. Trekking poles are recommended. The trail is a mountain bike trail, with a stated difficulty rating of 4 on a scale of 1 to 10.
- The 1 Mile route is entirely paved and consists of two laps around a soccer field.
- The 5K, 10K, and 50K start on a soccer loop, proceed onto the Spencer Mountain loop trails, and return. Course markings will be yellow ribbon and yellow arrows.
Runner Information
Bibs must be worn on the front and remain visible. Trekking poles are permitted. Participants should be prepared for variable weather, including rain and fog. The race has a 10-hour time cutoff. Walkers are welcome if they can finish within the time limit.
Post-Race and Logistics
Finishers receive a handmade pottery medal from BlueGill Pottery; each medal is unique. An aid station will provide basic food (e.g., pickles, cereal, pretzels, candy, fruit, bacon), hydration (water, Tailwind, sodas), and first aid. Runners who drop out must notify race officials.
