The Rooted Half Marathon & 5K
The Rooted Half Marathon & 5K takes place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Orion Oaks County Park in Lake Orion, Michigan. The event is held on multi-use trails that wind through wooded and grassy areas, with a mix of flat and gently rolling terrain.
The event offers several race options:
- Half Marathon
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk + Doggie Division
- Virtual Half Marathon
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk
The Doggie Division is a specific option within the 5K event where participants can run with a leashed dog. This division is capped at 50 entries.
On race day, there is on-site registration and packet pick-up starting at 7:30 AM. The half marathon starts at 9:00 AM, the 5K at 9:15 AM, and the Doggie Division at 9:20 AM.
Participants can choose from a crewneck sweatshirt or a trucker hat as race swag. Registrants for the Doggie Division also receive a custom bandana and dog biscuit for their pet. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
