The Rocky Hill Triathlon
The Rocky Hill Triathlon takes place in Exeter, California on March 13, 2027. The event includes multiple race options and is USAT sanctioned. Swim segments take place in a pool at Exeter Union High School and bike and run routes move into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.
The event offers these distances:
- Short Course: 400 yard swim, 12.5 mile bike and 3.1 mile run
- Long Course: 800 yard swim, 24.8 mile bike and 6.2 mile run
- 10k: out and back up and over Rocky Hill with two climbs
- 5k: out and back to the base of Rocky Hill
Course details note several climbs, including Rocky Hill and Meyer Drive, with the long course featuring multiple elevation changes and a steep first climb reported at 4.1 percent. Finishers in the triathlon receive specific items such as a pullover hoodie, a trucker hat for triathlon finishers, a towel, a Polar insulated cycling water bottle, and a finisher medal. The event also provides free race photos, a free beer ticket to VIP Pizza, music at the finish, and 10 year age group awards for male and female competitors across all distances.
Organizers state that a portion of registration funds are used to benefit a park or project in the city of Exeter and that the race board and director volunteer their services without pay.
