Event overview

The Rocky Hill Triathlon takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Exeter, California, at 505 Rocky Hill Drive. The event is USAT sanctioned and marks the 11th running of the race. A portion of registration fees is used to benefit a park or project in the city of Exeter; the race board and director volunteer their services unpaid. Age group awards are given in 10-year divisions for male and female participants in all distances.

Course and logistics

  • Short Course: 400 yards swim, 12.5 miles bike, 3.1 miles run.
  • Long Course: 800 yards swim, 24.8 miles bike, 6.2 miles run.
  • 10k: out-and-back with two climbs over Rocky Hill.
  • 5k: out-and-back to the base of Rocky Hill; finish through the stadium arch.

Swims start at the Exeter Union High School pool. The bike and run routes include climbs into the foothills and elevation gain in Yokohl Valley; Rocky Hill is noted as the first and steepest climb on the long course at 4.1% grade. Finishers receive event items including a pullover hoodie; triathlon finishers receive a trucker hat, towel, Polar insulated cycling water bottle, and finisher medal. The event provides free race photos and a beer ticket to VIP Pizza. Packet pickup is scheduled Friday, March 13, 4:00 pm-9:00 pm at Bellcraft Brew Co (130 N E Street, Exeter) and race morning, 6:00 am-7:30 am at Exeter Union High School.
