Santa Beer Run & Kids Elf Run - Exeter
The event combines a beer mile format and a separate kids fun run in downtown Exeter. The beer mile consists of four 0.25-mile laps; each lap is paired with a 12-oz beer served at local establishments. One option is an individual beer mile in which a single runner consumes four beers and completes four laps. A four-person relay option divides the beers and laps so each teammate drinks one beer and runs one lap. Participants in the beer mile must be 21 years or older.
Distances and age categories:
- Santa Beer Mile - Individual: 1 mile (four 0.25-mile laps)
- Santa Beer Mile - 4 person relay: 1 mile shared
- Elf Run (Ages 5-7): 0.25 miles
- Elf Run (Ages 8-12): 0.5 miles
- Elf Run (Ages 13-17): 1 mile
Registration opens July 25, 2026 and closes December 17, 2026. Listed registration fees are $60 for the individual beer mile and $130 for the four-person relay; Elf Run fees are $15, $20, and $25 for the respective age groups. Prizes include trophies for top individual finishers and for the fastest relay team, plus awards for best dressed participant and best dressed relay team.
Race packet pickup takes place at Bell Craft Brew Co., 130 N. E St, Exeter, CA 93221, on Friday, December 18 and on a morning in late December. The Elf Run registration includes a race bib, participant medal, photo opportunities with Mr. & Mrs. Claus, and an optional event shirt. Costumes are encouraged.
