Downtown Visalia Kiwanis 0.5K Donut Run/Walk and Shoe Fling
The Downtown Visalia Kiwanis event on March 20, 2027, at Mooney Grove Park next to the Tulare County Museum is built around a short fun run of 0.5K. The course length is described as roughly one lap plus 180 feet on a standard running track.
An aid station sponsored by Denny's restaurant is placed at the halfway mark and will offer donut holes, coffee, and juice. All finishers receive a donut and a first place medal. Strollers are welcome.
The event includes several participant categories and related activities. Entry fees listed for the main categories are $30 for adults, $20 for youth, and free for kids age 10 and under; free youth entry does not include a T shirt, while youth registration offers a T shirt. A small trophy will be awarded for the Best Dressed Donut costume.
A Brown's Shoe Fit Shoe Fling competition follows the run with separate divisions for adults 18 and over, youth under 18, and kids 10 and under. Proceeds from the event support Kiwanis projects that serve children in the community. The 198 Express Barbershop Quartet will perform during the registration period.
